Salvus needs notifications and location to warn you in real time. Pick your phone below for step-by-step instructions.

Allow notifications
When Salvus asks, tap Allow so it can warn you about speeding vehicles and crash black-spots nearby. You can adjust this later in Settings › Notifications › Salvus.

Allow location access
Salvus uses your speed and location to detect risky driving around you — fully anonymous. Choose “While Using the App” when prompted.

Set location to “Always”
For alerts to reach you with the screen off, open Settings › Salvus › Location and choose “Always”. Salvus only keeps your latest position, for a few minutes.

Tap Allow when Salvus requests notifications so it can warn you about nearby risks. You can manage this anytime in Settings › Apps › Salvus › Notifications.

Set location to “Allow all the time”
So alerts keep working in the background, open Settings › Apps › Salvus › Permissions › Location and choose “Allow all the time”.

Risk detected nearby
If any Salvus driver within range triggers a risk event, you'll receive a quick warning.

Always anonymous
Alerts never reveal who caused the event — only that a risky situation is close to you.

No alerts about you
Your own speeding never alerts you. Your device only helps protect others — anonymously.

Smart cooldown
After an alert, Salvus waits at least 2 minutes before sending another, so you're never spammed. Pro lets you set it anywhere from 30 seconds to 10 minutes.
